ReadySetRent — Data Protection Policy

ReadySetRent is operated by ReadySetRent, based in England. We are the data controller for personal data collected through readysetrent.co.uk. Contact us at adminreadysetrent@gmail.com.

Renters: name, email address, phone number, employment status and income information, current and previous address history, rental search preferences (budget, bedrooms, move-in date), guarantor details (if provided), profile photo (if uploaded).

Letting agents: name, agency name, email address, phone number, branch address, applicant pipeline data.

Documents you upload to your ReadySetRent vault are stored securely and are only accessible to you and letting agents you have explicitly connected with via your agency code. Documents are never shared publicly or via your public profile link. All uploaded documents are automatically and permanently deleted 90 days after upload. You will receive an email reminder 14 days before deletion. We do not review, verify, or access your documents except where required by law.

• To share your profile with letting agents you choose to share with
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, document requests, notifications)
• To allow letting agents to manage their applicant pipeline

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties.

• We do not store copies of your documents unless you choose to upload them
• We do not perform credit checks or identity verification
• We do not score or rank renters
• We do not use AI to assess applications

You stay in control of your documents. ReadySetRent only holds the profile information you choose to enter, plus any documents you upload yourself.

We process your data on the basis of: Contract — to provide the ReadySetRent service you have signed up for. Legitimate interests — to operate and improve the platform. Consent — where you have explicitly agreed (e.g. sharing your profile with an agent).

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider (data stored in EU region)
• Resend — our email delivery provider
• Letting agents — only the profile information you choose to share via a share link or agency code

We do not share your data with any other third parties without your explicit consent.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days. Letting agents' pipeline records are retained for up to 12 months after an applicant is archived.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email adminreadysetrent@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

We use essential cookies only — for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and access controls. If you have a security concern please contact us immediately at adminreadysetrent@gmail.com.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of any significant changes by email.
